Configuring your hardware to recognize a newly installed device is a manual process that’s included with every PC Hardware Repair or Upgrade service that we perform.

Configuration

· Not all components are compatible with your PC, or with other components already installed.

· Many internal components require configuration in order to be recognized by your PC.

· Failing to properly configure hardware can result in system halts prior to the OS loading.

Sometimes installing the new device is only half the battle.  Getting it to be recognized by the PC, or be compatible with existing components in your PC, is the other half of the battle.

 

Dip switches, jumpers, cable configurations, device order, boot sequence and more can affect whether or not the new device is really going to work.  And all of that is before you boot the PC and fire up the operating system !

 

So, if you’re lucky enough to get your new hardware installed without damaging anything else...don’t be alarmed if it still doesn’t work, without configuring your hardware.
