Software Upgrades are most often performed to take advantage of the new features found in the latest version of your favorite software.

Software updates are released monthly that affect both the software you have already installed and the internal and external hardware that you own.

· Corporate environments usually take advantage of testing prior to installation.

Upgrading your PC software applications, such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and others is the best way to take advantage of new features and to keep your PC up-to-date.

 

The longer you wait to purchase the new upgraded version, the more it is likely to cost.  If you wait long enough, you won’t be able to take advantage of the upgrade pricing (which is usually discounted).

 

Although downloading and installing software upgrades is fairly easy, we can do the upgrade for you to ensure that the process goes smoothly.

 

If you have a failed upgrade, or a failed update, and need assistance, the sooner you get it resolved, the easier it is to resolve.

 

Certain failed upgrades, or failed updates, have specific steps which must be taken in order to complete the upgrade or update.  We can assist you with these processes, which vary from software publisher to software publisher.

 

Once your software is installed, we test it’s performance to make sure it is operational.

 

We follow the major and minor releases from most software publishers and can always ensure that you have the latest version.

 

We also track critical, non-critical and operational updates from these major publishers should your needs require.

 

For major, critical Operating System and Office updates, we’ll notify you.

 

In certain situations, it may be more beneficial to not have certain updates installed.  In other situations, it may be beneficial to wrap all of the updates for a given time period into one Update Installation Service.  This popular service is offered on a cyclical basis, i.e. quarterly, semi-annually and annually.

 

Some software installations do not include all of the incremental upgrades, patches, fixes, etc. that have been released since the software application was initially released.  They are available at an additional charge.

 

Upgrade and Update services do not include the repair, installation or replacement of associated software.

 

In some corporate settings, software testing is performed before installation to ensure compatibility with existing applications and legacy files.

Did You Know:

· Aside from application software, there is software that actually boots your PC hardware ?  The publishers of this software release updates too.

· Microsoft issues Operating System software updates each month.  These updates are divided into three categories.  If you elect to do so, you will automatically receive, and have updates installed, for only one category:  Critical.

· The software that drives your printer, monitor, wireless, network card, sound card, video adapter, router, etc. may have an update waiting to be installed on your PC.  These updates are not automatic.

· The first update to Office 2000 fixed a major flaw affecting Word, Excel and PowerPoint in Office 2000.

· Microsoft no longer supports PC operating systems prior to Windows XP SP-2 and Vista.

· Many users won’t move to a new operating system until the first significant update or upgrade is released.
